- lipase - an enzyme that breaks down fats, which is produced mainly in the pancreas and is secreted into the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract; lipase breaks down triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol,
- cellulase - an enzyme that breaks down cellulose to form glucose.
